I miss y'all!
LiveJournal is/was such a good community. It was much more personal than any other social media. I don't use Facebook, Twitter, Mastadon, Bluesky and other 'blip-type' posting areas don't really allow you to interact with furries the way we used to on here. I could read about someone's day/week, however long they wanna update and feel closer, whether I comment or not. Good times and good people!
Regular 'Pupdate'
Things have been going decent for me. I have myself a loving otter, we have the same long-term and lifetime goals without much need for compromise. We already discuss retirement and the things we'd like to accomplish together. I do feel I am getting to that 'mellow vibe' zone... I do love to party still, but I really enjoy just vibing with a few folks. It's a lot like being on Live Journal! Have a few folks you really give all your attention to rather than hearing thousands of 'blips' being thrown everywhere.
Hah, I am still not great at writing my thoughts down, but I like that I'm able to write that and not worry about spamming with multiple posts.
Otter and I currently are living in Las Vegas. We love it here, the community is very active. There are many cliques as per usual in the fandom, but I seem to be able to wander into most of them without any issues. Besides, there's also a lot of toxicity and it gets easier to decide who I even want to interact with. We are still renting, though have goals of buying a place if the market ever levels out.
Next year, (Sept 2025) we may be moving to/near Denver, CO. Ya see, otter has a bio kid that he hasn't gotten to spend much time with and wants to be a part of his life! I think it's very wags, though I am also worried because blech, kids. He'll be 12 if when we move there, if we do. A lot of what determines us moving will be Otter's work. He is a remote developer, but his job will only permit him to work while living near an office. We do love the community here in Las Vegas and the lifestyle is definitely fun! We do not gamble, so that is a non-issue for us. Ott no longer smokes weed, by his own choice, and I have cut down heavily on the boozies! I will still partake socially but I do not go overboard anymore...I don't need that kind of embarrassment, lol!
I miss the people who were/are still a part of my life, despite us not barking anymore. I still think about them/you fondly! I remember the waggy times we shared and hope we can enjoy some chill times in the future. Hah, got the flutter feeling! :P I do miss this place, and it's wags to come and update every once in a while... though I will try not to do that for just negative things, because I have always enjoying being a positive pup!
Being a toon coyote is hard work, but fortunately there's nobody else I'd rather be!
