E3 breakdown so far

May 12, 2006 03:08

I was going to save this for after the show, but E3 this year has blown my mind with new ideas and amazing looking games. Nintendo has especially pulled out the big guns and has dazzled me silly with a mountain of unique offerings, with the Wii being at the forefront. That controller is just so fucking cool, and the games for it they've shown such as Red Steel look fantastic. Watching Miyamoto, Reggie, and Iwata playing tennis with it brought joy to my heart.

Games that bring me joy:

Zelda Twilight Princess (of course, and especially after seeing it played with the Wii controller)
Red Steel
Phantasy Star Universe
Pheonix Wright!! http://www.gamespot.com/ds/adventure/phoenixwrightaceattorney2/media.html
Super Mario Galaxy
Did I like Trauma Center: Under the Knife? hell yes I did, so look at this: http://www.gamespot.com/wii/puzzle/traumacentersecondopinion/news.html?sid=6150763&mode=previews
Metroid Prime 3
Sonic Wild Fire
Starfox DS could be good. The screenshots didnt inspire much, but the video I saw, though short, made it look much, much better.
Warhawk
Metal Gear Solid 4
Too Human
Huxley http://www.gamespot.com/e3/e3story.html?sid=6150771&pid=928202
Super Paper Mario http://www.gamespot.com/e3/e3story.html?sid=6149721&pid=933012
Gears of War is looking really good as well

And others, which I probably just forgot. Its been a damn big show after all. I might add more or edit this one as I remember stuff/new stuff develops. There is still more comming, after all.
