I feel like I've been treading water for the past 7 years, & I'm tired of it. There's so much I want to do, that I'm worried I'll never get a chance to do ( Read more... )

So do it.

(That's not meant to sound rude or bitchy. I'm going for encouraging.)

You can't tell me there's *nowhere* in your area to go and have a picnic. You're constantly saying that there's nothing to do in your town, which means there's got to be empty space somewhere! Pull off on the side of the road and tramp through the woods for a while, I'm sure you'll find some place.

If you want to include Rob in this, make a regular date on his days off to go out somewhere and find something to do. If you don't, start driving him to work and keeping the van during the day, so you can do it yourself. (Unless his job requires him to use the van during the day. I guess in that case you'll have to take it on his days off and hope he doesn't burn the house down while you're gone.)

Grab life by the balls and live it. The ocean and the whales and the fireflies and the stars and the bugs and the city and the clovers and the waterfalls and the landscapes and the lights and the more won't come to you, you've gotta go to them.

There's tons of places, but none within walking distance :P I don't drive, otherwise nothing would hold me back

Well... van! It sounds to me like Rob could really use a little increase in his fun levels, too. Pack up a picnic and go out together, just the two of you.

I've known you for more than a year now, and I know you are a FUCKING STUBBORN CUNT. There is NOTHING that you can't do, lady. If you want it, you CAN make it happen. You just gotta try it. ;D

Whenever Rob gets the day off, we go out exploring, but he works 7 days straight, & we can't really afford to do much :P

*pretends to be shocked & offended* *fails miserably* Heh, I take that as a compliment

Once I get my driver's license, it'll all be different. I just have to find time to study

LOL Well it was *meant* as a compliment. XDDD

If the Canadian driving test is anything similar to the test I took, it's really not that hard. I just read the driver's handbook three times, and took the online tests the DMV offered. On the written test, I missed one question, and I aced the driving test. Leading up to it, I was *freaking out* that I'd forget something or make a huge mistake or something, but no. It was no big deal at all.

Also, if you fail the test, you get to take it again later. ;D

I used to have my drivers license when I turned 16, but I never went through actually getting the 'official' license, & I let it expire. I'm sure it'll be easy as pie :D I just have to refresh myself on stuff
