Weekend Journey's
This weekend I was supposed to be in Vegas for a Wedding.
But I could not get the time off from work, So I was unable to go. I decided I still needed to get out of town for the weekend. So I drove out to Birmingham to Play on Con.
A small Gaming convention that friend's have been trying to get me to go to for years.
It was a fun weekend. A bit slow during the daytime as I am not really a Gamer. But I had a number of friend's there and that is really the reason I go to these things.
Saturday I got to see thebigpants which is ALWAYS good :)
After Capt Drew ad Dwiv did their cardboard costuming panel. We all headed to the bar for a bit and then it was decided we needed Ice Cream and that's when the adventure started.
We all jumped in the car and headed out into the wilderness of Birmingham to find a REAL ice cream place.
We eventually did find a Creamery shop in a cool little village built in the 20's. We all walked around looking at the places and the shops. And I want to go back and photograph this place!
All in all not a bad weekend, Saw friends. Sent out many a drunk text and now it's time to get my brain back in gear for work tomorrow :/
