Yikes.
Sigh. It's so sad how I've drifted so far away from Livejournal. I'm almost tearing up thinking about it, actually, which is probably a slightly overemotional reaction.
Anyway, stuff! I took that trip to NYC last weekend, and I had a blast hanging out in Brooklyn with one of my friends from SVA and her boyfriend. I haven't seen them since Comic-Con 2010 and it was really, really fun getting to see them again. Walking around Prospect Park and trying to find a bathroom... good times. Good times.
The hotel was really nice, also. Very well-decorated, comfy, classy, all that stuff. The room was small, but the ceiling was incredibly high so it didn't feel cramped. And I took a luxurious, $16 LUSH bath and I smelled awesome afterwards. And on Sunday I met up with a Tumblr friend at Max Brenner, and my burger was delicious, and the chocolate espresso milkshake was like sex in my mouth.
Definite downside was the amount of money I spent. It was almost $200. I told my mom that and she was just like, "omg you're overreacting that's not a lot", but man, to me that's a whole paycheck -- sometimes it's MORE than a whole paycheck. I don't ever spend a lot of money so to me, seeing my bank account emptied of that desperately-needed cash kind of made me want to curl up into a ball and whimper. I JUST WANT TO HAVE AS MUCH MONEY AS I POSSIBLY CAN. It makes me feel safer. More secure.
Anyway, so yeah. I'm also sick! I've been sick for nearly two weeks now! And it sucks! I haven't been to the gym since I got sick and I really need to go back! But I can't if I'm going to hack up a lung on the treadmill!
