Well, not black, exactly. More like a dumb tourist hoodie because it was cold and the wind was crazy.
Anyway, I'm back from San Francisco, and I had a great time! I suspect that I spent too much money, but I'm one of the biggest cheapskates you'll ever meet so it's probably less than you'd think. I thought the hotel would have free Internet access in the lobby but they didn't, so that kind of pissed me off, and it's also why I haven't been around.
...Actually, looking at my bank account right now, and I definitely have nothing to worry about. Yep. I have more money than before I left, actually.
But onto the brief summary of my adventures --
In addition to not having the Internet, I forgot the power chord for my computer, so I couldn't even really do any writing while I was there, lest I completely lose my battery... especially since I tried loading my new CDs into the computer and that sucked about half of the battery anyway. >:( But it doesn't really matter; I was fine without the computer, surprisingly!
My mom and I didn't get to go to Alcatraz like we'd planned (it's booked until Sunday, wtf), so mostly we just did a lot of walking around. We went down to Tourist Central, Fisherman's Wharf, where there was basically nothing to do but eat and buy shit. I mean, that's usually all there is to do ANYWAY, but this place just kinda overdid it. It was like a caricature of American culture, only with boat tours.
Anyway, as mentioned above, I bought a bunch of stuff -- a cool new shirt, three CDs, a hat, three books (The Time Traveller's Wife, Atonement, and The Handmaid's Tale), and some food. And there was a 24 hour period of nothing but desserts. Good times. I also saw Get Smart and Wall-E.
So, basically, I did nothing out of the ordinary. The trolley was fun, though! Even when I was standing up and kept getting jostled around.
Tons of pictures were taken, so you can expect those tomorrow, in a vain attempt to get Picspam Friday back on its feet.
So, did I miss anything? Any especially funny wank or anything...?
