Some times, I'm overwhelmed by my own geekiness. I just finished up a session of "
Justifiable?" at
Trent Radio with
kearsley and
public_ear. Not having access to a burner at the time, I dragged my collection of CDs down to the studio, along with three dice to be rolled to create a random sampling of my collection. The geekiness begins with those three dice being two "d10"s and a "d6". (Translation for the sane: "Two ten-sided dice used by role-playing geeks, and a standard six-sided die".) Public_Ear and I got pretty bad at some points, but Kearsley managed to keep our geekiness in check by rolling the dice on a mic-ed section of the control board as a warning sound.
As I rolled up the playlist (durring jeers of "Roll up your character, Ted!", and "Remember! It's Str, Dex, Con...") I realized that this would be the final proof that God/Fate/Karma/Whatever really is a complete and utter bastard. I'm blessedly sleep-deprived and a little fuzzy on details, but here's what I remember of the randomly generated play-list:
Disco Inferno - The Tramps
I Love Rock & Roll - Joan Jett
Left To My Own Devices - Pet Shop Boys
Dim All The Lights - Donna Summer
Pavement Cracks - Annie Lennox
Hey Mickey - Toni Basil
(Holding Out For A) Hero - Bonnie Tyler
Mack The Knife - Ella Fitzgerald
Thank-you. :)
