Don looked at his watch for what had to be the hundredth time. It seemed like hours ago that Emily had traded places with the civilian woman, who was now giving her statement and being checked out by the medic.
She had claimed the man inside was crazy and that he had threatened her several times with the pistol he carried. Not once though, had he mentioned what he wanted or why he was doing this.
It was driving Don crazy wondering what was going on inside. The suspect hadn’t tried to make contact. Why hadn’t he made any demands?
