We move like caged tigers, oh we couldn't get closer than this

This article reminds me of going to a Siberian tiger reserve in Harbin. We went out onto the grounds in a tour bus, and for a small fee, they sent out a smaller (and armored) jeep with live chickens in it. As the tigers approached the jeep, the driver would throw chickens out the door. One of the cats (these cats must have weighed close to 1000* pounds, they were surprisingly gigantic) was getting a little agitated and swatted the jeep, which shook the vehicle.

The chickens, as you can imagine, didn't stand a chance. Even at 1000 pounds each, these damn cats were fucking agile. Some chickens would be chomped in mid-air, the entire chicken fitting in the mouth of the tiger, kind of like how a donut hole can be chomped down by a person in one bite. In this case, though, the chomp was just to kill the bird, which would then be carried away and eaten very carefully by the tiger. They would strip the feathers and skin in between their teeth to get to the flesh beneath.

* Correction, they just looked like they weighed half a ton, evidently they vary in weight from 500-700 pounds, typically.
