I shouldn't write anything at all, because I need to go to bed because I am teaching tomorrow morning, and before I go to bed, I need to address some envelopes so I can send out some more teaching applications. But oh well, there's few things I love more than procrastinating. The only way I would enjoy this more would be with a big bowl of ice cream, which I unfortunately finished this afternoon. With this round of applications though, I should be up to close to 30, mostly in New Haven and Fairfield Counties. I hope I get something good. One I am sending in is to Wallingford, where my mom knows the superintendent's wife, so I should have a good chance of at least getting an interview.
In more exciting news, Mindee is coming tomorrow, so I am leaving school right at 12:30 to go pick her up at Bradley for her 1:40 arrival. It looks like I should be early for a change, but I'm sure something will get in my way so that does not happen. After that, I'll show her all the exciting places we have in Connecticut. Being that that trip won't last long, we'll then find something else to do before going to NYC on Friday and Mohegan Sun on Saturday, where we will be joined by Mr. Stephen Boucher for both, and Mr. Kenan Kara for the latter. It will be just like Florida all over again, except I'll have more money this time and there won't be a hurricane :-). Next time Becca will have to come too to make it even more fun.
In other news, because of the visits, I am also off from Ruby Tuesday until next Tuesday, so that will be nice to have my nights free. Tonight I made another $50, so it is nice money wise. And on the way home, I went by the movie theater and it was as crowded as I've ever seen it because it was about a half hour before the midnight showing of Star Wars Episode III. I was tempted to stop by the theater just to see people dressed up in their crazy costumes, but I decided that it really wasn't worth it so I came home and wrote this instead. Hopefully I will get to see the movie soon, it is definitely on my must see list.
I also recently found my fake NJ license, which I thought I lost in Florence more than two years ago. God knows why I even brought it to Florence where there is no drinking age, not that I ever used it here anyway, but apparently I stowed it away in my address book, which I just opened to transfer addresses to my new one. Clearly, I don't often write letters or send mail to anyone. Not that I need the fake, but it was fun to find. Maybe I will find my baseball cards that were robbed from my house by my neighbor someday too. Speaking of neighbors, I've noticed the housing market is crazy lately. Apparently people have been asking other people on my street if any houses are for sale because it is desirable. Also, I swear I've never seen this in North Haven the first 18 years I lived here, but in the past three months I've seen no less than five houses completely demolished and new ones built in their place. Apparently land is hard to come by. Its kind of depressing because I don't know when I will be able to ever buy a house, unless it is in some godforsaken place where nobody wants to live, like Binghamton, NY or next to a toxic waste dump.
Well after that randomness, perhaps I've procrastinated enough now. If I work quick, maybe I can fall asleep by 1 and get a whole five hours of sleep. Keep your fingers crossed for me!
