The Barcelona White Collar Round-Robin
by TeeJay and Kim
This is just a little, fun something that happened when my colleague Kim and I started messing around during the meeting we attended last week. We sat next to each other in the last row, and since we had both already heard most of the presentations that were being held, we decided to start a little round robin game to make the time pass more quickly.
It started out with me suggesting we write a three-sentence story, and it somehow turned into a round-robin where we continued each other's ideas. Normal text was written by me, text in italics was written by Kim.
Also, this somehow stops right in the middle because it's all we had time for. If anyone feels the urge to continue this, feel free. :o)
Sort of contains spoilers for 2x15 "Power Play".

The smell was delicious and Neal hoped the soup would taste just as good. Just as he dipped the spoon in to try whether the mix of ingredients and spices was perfect, there was a knock on his apartment door. With a smile on his face, he opened the door to look at an equally vibrantly smiling Sara Ellis-and, God, she was hot!
Tight, little, black dress, 4-inch heels and just enough perfume to make you lean in and smell meant she was only here for business. Sara smelled the soup cooking and the mix of spices that filled the room and asked if he was expecting company.
"I was expecting you since we were interrupted in the library last night."
Her face took on an almost mischievous expression accompanied by a small smile, one that Neal had seen often and found very enticing.
"Oh really?" she asked. "And you're going about that with..." she walked over to the kitchenette, peering into the pot. "... soup?"
"I told you I make delicious soups, didn't I?"
Giving Neal the 'I don't believe you' look, Sara poured herself a glass of wine from the open bottle on the table and sat down. Neal could feel and see from Sara's disposition that she wanted something but was afraid to ask.
So Neal went to where she sat, lingered over Sara and said, "So...?"
The question hung in the air for a moment.
"So what?" she asked teasingly.
"So there must be a reason that you agreed to come here to meet."
"I have good news that may be bad news for you. I don't know what to do with this information, but the source is reliable... It's from Peter."
Neal's face immediately took on a more sober expression. "About Kate? Adler? What is this about?"
Sara gestured at the chair opposite her. "I think you should sit down."
Neal didn't like the sound of that.
"Okay, I'm just gonna say it because I think you should know. Peter found your father."
Neal's jaw dropped and it was a good thing he hadn't been holding anything in his hands, because that would have dropped with it.
"Why would Peter even look for my father? My father's dead. I told him that."
"No, Neal, you were told that your father was dead. In a new case just transferred from the CIA, your name was mentioned. Your father called you by name. He's alive."
