This is wonderful. The image of Elizabeth trying to quietly help Neal while he's in that state is a lovely one.

Thanks. Though I feel kinda guilty for taking such a sweet, enjoyable prompt like chocolate and turn it into a rather depressing, angsty piece like this.

Very sweet! That is so Elizabeth to do that. Excellent characterization and I love any hints of Neal/Mozzie.

So glad you like it. Thanks for the comment. And, uhm, Neal/Mozzie? As in slash? I must admit, I find that even harder to fathom than Neal/Peter. But then again, I've never been a non-canon slash gal... :o)

I like the tiny moments of surprise here - Elizabeth, then the hot chocolate - and how we see how much more burned out Neal is.
