Hey there gorgeous Mama! *rubs my bump* He's gotten real big eh? No appearance yet - I'm not anxious or anything but dude, I just want to have him and hold him already. I'm completely ready to meet him.... *askes him if its time yet*

I've been really blessed with how easy everything has been. And how well I am continuing to feel. Even if some days when its 35 degrees and humid and all I want to do is lie under the fan. I read a whole book yesterday - it was lovely!

We are completely nested. Everything is now ready to go. All the nappies and clothes are washed and in his cupboard waiting for him (we are using modern cloth nappies http://www.greenkids.com.au/ ).

The change table is set up but its not going to stay like that. A friend of the family is actually making one for us but he's not finished yet so what you see is two bedside tables with a piece of board connecting them - its makeshift but it will do for the interim.

The rocking horse was a gift from my mum. Its old but not our heirloom. She brought it at a garage sale and it had been made by that family's grandfather for their kids. It was a little rough around the edges so Phil did a bit of repair work to it and then we re-painted it in the same shades as it was originally. But I am definately keeping it in our family from now on. Its too cute too sell!!

Dude, I love our balcony and all my plants. Our frangipani tree is in full bloom now - gorgeous flowers of pink and yellow and the smell! Divine. Its really lovely to sit out there and have breakfast. If it makes you feel any better - it looks lovely and sunny but dude, its been in the high thirties (Celsius) and with high humidity already and its not even full summer yet. SOOO HOT AND STINKY! I think half of Oz, especially those with bushfires threatening their areas already, would love a wee bit of your gloomy winter. Especially the rain. Ohhhhh we are dreaming of rain over here.

Harry Potter is Pride of Place on my bookshelf. Love them so much!

I am looking forward to giving you all the good news. Cross your fingers for me - I'm taking the laptop with me for the hospital stay so here hoping I can steal some bandwidth from an unsecure wireless connection and give you all the news (possibly even some pics) nice and early.

*smishes you silly*

Hurray for big, healthy babies with round cheeks and chubby fingers!

Good for you! We have something similar called bummies, but we've yet to try them as they're bigger than the newborn diapers we're using now. I pushed for disposables early on because I thought that washing diapers or committing to a diaper service was going to be overwhelming on top of everything else. Let me know how your diapers work!

Stay cool, sweets. When it was hot here, I'd sleep with a wet washcloth over the baby bump and the fan on me. Heaven. :) The good thing about being pregnant in the summer is that you don't have to go out and buy a million clothes for warm weather ... like jackets and sweaters. You can get away with less and show off the bump. ;) Plus, all the local fruits were in season and every pregnant woman I know craved fresh berries and citrus.

I can't wait! *vibrates with excitement* Good luck, sweets. I hope labor/delivery go smoothly and little Dave is healthy with big lusty cries. I'm thinking about you. *hugs you silly* Many kisses!

Dude, he is soooooo small. There is no use of the cloth nappies because there is no way he will fit them!! Newborn disposables are only just fitting him at the moment. He takes after his dad - long and lean - so NONE of the clothes we had for him fitted. We had to do an emergency shop for 0000 size cloths (the smallest you can get but are meant for premmie babies). However, when he has put a bit of meat on his bones, I shall let you know how we go...

Awww, tiny baby. *cuddles*

We had to buy Talia smaller clothes, too. :) But she grew fast enough and now she's wearing 3-6 month clothes and she's 2 months old. The fun thing is, though, that I get to do a lot of baby clothes shopping.
