I am trying some relaxation techniques. So far calming breathing and deep muscle relaxation. the breathing isn't too hard once you get into the rythmn but I have trouble separating my muscle groups. Also I think I'm tensing too much rather than just flexing them, cos when I've relaxed my muscles again they still feel odd.
It would be a lot easier to relax if there wasn't fireworks and loud partying across the street. I keep twitching when there are bangs.
Also I hear shouting and see gangs of people in the street as I peek out the curtains. It was a bit rowdy earlier but I think it's calmed down now. I thought I heard a woman screaming, but it was only a bit and the clumps of people are only worrying in their size not their movements or activities. That said a few are running around the street. that worries me slightly as there were people throwing stuff at cars a few weeks ago.
I guess there must be some sober responsible person about doing all the fireworks, at least I hope so cos otherwise it's miracle no one's been injured and that house hasn't burnt down.
Can't see many people about now and the music has stopped. As have the fireworks. I guess they've packed it in. It is only midnight, I must've thought it was later than it is.
Anyone have any advice about relaxtion techniques?
Especially those that help relax the muscles. Apparently secnted candles are good, anyone knew if some scents are better than others? I have a vanilla one about somewhere.
