Go over interview technique with somoeone. I'll do it if you want since I've interviewed people for jobs and I've gone over technique with a couple of friends both of whom got their jobs.
Also you could try connexions. It's meant to be a service for getting young people into work (As in 18-) but you might be able to persuade them that you can borrow a personal advisor for 1/2 hour.
If you get the opportunity bother someone whos already got the job. Being informed as to exactly what it entails gives you a good headstart. It also lets you know what skills they want so that you can be sure of what you have to mention.
Thanks for the advice and luck. I've got a week to work things out and Dave's going to ask his mother since she's hired people for her library. I think I know what kind of thing they're looking for, they helpfully give you a person specification and a list of duties you'd be expected to do, i just have to elaborate on those. But if you have any tips on general interview technique I'd appreciate the help.
