So sometimes a book comes back and there are pages missing. Either someone's been careless or the book is quite old, and in some cases people have actually cut out the pictures or certain pages.
One thing you don't often get is extra pages being taped in.
A woman had an exercise/worksheet book she wanted to keep but she wanted me to remove the extra page that had been clumsily sellotaped in the back. No relation to the rest of the book and the woman clearly didn't like the page being there.
It looked like a child's worksheet with simple exercises and bright colours.
It was all about Jesus and God and marriage. Some of it was just filling in words and circling pictures that showed what a good marriage was, and it had a maze where the bride and groom met up at the church. There was also something about spotting people with rings.
In a sunday school it would have been innocuous. But taped into the back of a library exercise book... it just seemed dodgy.
Sent the sheet (which was carefully checked for names and details first) and a description of what happened to a colleague at another library who is collecting annectdotes.
