And people wonder why I don't go to church

This is a photo of a real sign that was in front of a real church in Blacklick, Ohio.  I believe it's from September of 2008, but I just stumbled across it tonight:



At first I thought it was a joke, but it's not (although I wish it was)  It's meant to be taken seriously as a "loving warning to teens" about homosexuality.

It's stuff like this that's making it harder and harder for me to call myself a Christian.  I've already gotten to the point where I feel genuinely uncomfortable during church services, and I'm finding that my friends who are agnostic, atheist, pagan, gay/bi, or anything else that will allegedly guarantee a one-way ticket to hell are more loving and accepting than many so-called Christians that I've known.  I'm about one encounter with an ignorant bigot who claims to be "saved" from giving up on religion altogether.
