I'm spending today putting my notes on the computer.  And making notes to put on the computer.  Otherwise, I can't read my writing very well.  And there's color coding involved.  I'm also quite sleepy.

Yesterday I was at Midway Village and the Rockford Public Library researching primary sources.  It's quite exhausting.  Monday I need to call the RWC and see if I can come in on Friday and rip some actual archival research away from them.  They seem pretty resistant to give up anything.  Also, their archive is unprocessed, meaning it isn't organized and stuff is everywhere.  I found something from 1914 and the 1930s in a box containing mostly 1940-1960 stuff.  At least they don't charge me for copies.  I gave 1.50 to Midway for copies because I wasn't about to hand copy five newsletters.  Ugh.

I did get to see my bosses and hint that I'll reeeeally be needing a job after I graduate.  And especially since they had to let the scheduler go.  It was the Board's decision, and I guess even Dave the owner was upset about it.  I was afraid of Sandy, but she did a lot of important things.  I wish I could have her job.  I want to doooo something.

Also, my computer's all different since George (bless him) did things to it to make it run faster.  I'm also using firefox now.  But it's taking some getting used to.  I can't access my NIU email anymore, and I'm waiting for him to get back to me on that.  I neeeed it.

*sigh* Transcribing isn't hard.  It's just boring.
