Last Sunday night, someone from upstairs decided to urinate on Steve's bike on our patio at 2:30 am. Luckily, Steve saw the whole thing and called the police who responded quickly and fined them $100. Later they came down "to talk", apparently behaved rather unintelligently, and left with a cookie. Febreze was apparently applied liberally after they left because of the horrible BO. I am still uber upset with them, but they have been quiet all week.
We are looking to break our lease with Horizon because our lawyer says that the lease is void on multiple accounts, Erin has been living in a closet (it can't even be called a study) and Susan won't take her key (even though she's the one who told her to get out), supposedly Horizon entered our apartment and took pictures of our stuff (a likely story) and any judge who sees those if they exist will say the are invalid, and we are tired of living in this hell.
Suburban Apartments has been very nice, and a two bedroom is open for Steve, myself, and hopefully Katy in a couple weeks and Erin (who is pretty much moved out) is going to stay with Takeo. So I will probably have a new address by May because we don't want to give them another cent.
By the way, we already paid for July. Does that mean we paid for May, or if we moved out earlier we get that $200 back?
Meeting with the lawyer on Monday. It's like therapy.
