Finally able to something productive this sem break. :p For quite some
time I was planning to do a complete clean up for my PC and I was
finally able to do it today. And boy when you see how dusty and dirty
my pc was, you can say it definitely wasn't easy. First, I started by
cleaning the cpu. After disconnecting all the wires behind the CPU, I
began dusting it's outside using a brush. Then I began removing the
drives and the cables inside the CPU then clean them with a brush and
dry cloth. It was quite easy, except I had a hard time removing one
hard drive and the floppy drive that my pc originally had when I bought
it. I wasn't able to remove those drives EVER before. Thankfully, I was
able to remove the HDD but the floppy drive was a lost cause since the
slot at the screw where you insert the screwdriver was chipped, so no
screwdriver would work. I eventually gave up on it and just decided to
remove the entire bay the floppy drive was on later to clean it. Then I
started cleaning the hardest part to clean in the CPU, the mother
board. I started by removing the platform the mother board was on. Then
I began carefully brushing the mother to remove the dusts. However, a
problem came: there are some tight places where my brush can't reach
and I was having a hard time cleaning the heat sink since I don't want
to touch that part and the processor in fear of messing up. In the end,
I was able to solve the problem by using something I never ever used
before: a blow drier. It's really fun considering that this is the
first time i really operated and used a blow drier, and for this
purpose to boot! :)) Talk about ingenuity. :p Afterward, I removed the
bay the floppy drive was on and cleaned it, then did the same for the
remained inside of the CPU. Afterward, I re-assembled the CPU again.
Then I began cleaning the monitor and the printer. Talk about dirty, I
used a big amount of cleaning alcohol to clean them, and after
cleaning, the clothe I used was so black, they are almost unusable and
decided to throw already. ^^; A also cleaned the desk of my pc too.
Then afterward, I reassembled my PC... da ga, shikashi! (but, however!)
Unfortunately, when I turned the pc on, I'm shocked my pc can't
detect my LAN card. No LAN card means no internet and that is a big no
no. >_< First I tried removing and placing the LAN card at
different PCI slots, but it still didn't work. I made sure the
insertion was tight, and it still didn't work. -_- Then I tried using
an extra LAN card we had and it still didn't work. T_T After hours of
frustration and trying whatever I can think of, I just banged the LAN
card in the PCI slot when I noticed it was still able to go in. o_O;;;
In the end, I found out the LAN card must be very, very, very,
very, very you get the point tightly insert in the PCI slot to work. -_-;;; Oh boy.
In the end after all the trials and frustration, I'm glad I was able to
clean my PC. When I took a bath afterward, I was so dirty I can see
the water coming from as so black with dirts and dusts already. ^^;
Sore ja, jikai wo otanoshimi~ ^w^
