Pisay Alumni Homecoming 2006

The Philippine Science Alumni Homecoming was held last Saturday night, September 2 at the Pisay gym. Since it was 5 years since we graduated from high school (wow it was that long... and I am  *still* in college after a long time >_<) our batch, and every 5 batches before that will be the host batch for the homecoming. With that reason, and the fact the one of my high school barkada from Back '01, Odarb, based in Mindanao will be coming, I decided I really wanted to go to the homecoming. However, mom informed me that inang was somehow unable to eat and is only eating via a feeder, so I am having second thoughts on going to the homecoming. x_x So we had to go back to Malolos to visit her that morning last Saturday. Thank God that she seems to be feeling much better now, and I decided to go to the homecoming that night. ^^I thought I will be late since the invitation said the homecoming starts at 6 pm and I arrived past & pm already. But I forgot that I lived in a country where on time means one hour after the designated time so when I arrive, people from my batch barely arrived )I think I was in the first 15 to arrive in our batch) and the homecoming is yet to start. So I registered my name, wrote my name and batch for a raffle, and filled a ballot which I don't know what was that for but filled it up anyways. While signing, I noticed Odarb was already there, apparently dragged to help in the registration since he came here early. Apparently he hasn't seen any other Back people so I decided to look for them in the gym first. I saw Derek there already but none of the Back peeps are there. I was also surprised when I saw Ma'm Gev of all people in there (didn't know she was from Pisay...). o.O; We passed by each other, but she was talking with somebody and it was dark so I don't think she recognized me. I also took note of her batch, batch '80 I think, so from there you can figure out her age. :p So I went outside again to wait for other Back people to come, on to find Joshua and Euge (they are both also batchmates in EEE) already in the gym steps, waiting there for a while (didn't notice them before). ^^; So after seeing each outher, we "liberated" Odarb from registration duties and hang out in the gym step. We meet a couple of our batchmates and also another Back, Leo, there, with the question of the night from the EEE people being "Graduate ka na ba?" And unfortunate, I think only a couple other's from our batch answered "No" to that. :( We then decided to go upstairs to eat, but since it was too noisy to talk in the gym (at the court to be specifi) we decided to just eat outside. So we grabbed (more like hoarded >:)) plates of foods, a pitcher of beer, glasses and chairs outside and ate and talked there. Fastforwarding, after some eating, talking and drinkin, eventually other Back people, King, Marlon, Earl, Bagoj, Gerom, and Arce came. Then more talking, eating and drinking. We decided to enter the court later that night since the program was about to start. Then more talking, eating and drinking (actually more like make noise and much more drinking ^^;). There were some presentations and contest held, but we didn't pay attention since we were too busy making ruckus and drinking. But when the raffle came, with the price being a cellphone, I was surprised to have won a Nokia 6020! I guess God forgot that he set this year to be bad luck for me. :p At first I didn't know I won because I didn't heard my name (guess my hand writing was that bad ^^;). So I went up and picked up my prize, but a few moment later, Arce won a better phone than mine, an N70. I guess God meant the luck for him but a couple got sprayed on me. :p Shortly after the raffle, we decided to leave to play DotA at Katipunan. It's too bad that Odarb already had prior obligations that he can't join us. So after taking some pictures, we divided to ourselves between the cars available. I rode with one of them (whose name I will not mention to protect his identity) and sat at the front seat. Every thing was ok, except when we were about to enter elliptical road and he start saying that he was too drunk to drive and that I should just direct him were to go. o.O;;; At first I thought he was kidding, but I began to have second thought when we began to almost hit the road barriers, or hit trucks, or he started closing his eyes and I have to wake him up because we are about to hit something, or start turning left/right on straight roads, or going straight on left/right turns/barriers, or when we are to go straight to a person that he can't figure out if it was a person or trash, or when we stopped at a waiting shed to have a gas refill, or when he decided to go straight inside kfc. To say the least, those of us in the ride were so nervous, we were surprised we were even alive. -_-; I really need my own car, at least if I drunk drive, I won't feel nervous. :p I guess God remembered this year was my unlucky year. T_T So we played DotA until morning, and eventually parted after taking a short break at 7 Eleven.  Oh well, thank God for a fun, lucky, exciting, adventurous, on the edge, unlucky homecoming. :)

Sore ja, jikai wo otanoshimi~ ^w^
