Rainy Day

When it rain, it pours. Somehow I'm starting to think this is a bad year for me. With the bad things that happened and is happening so far (including those I said at the previous post) I was really hoping things will get better. It turned out, things got worse...

My grandmother (my mother's mother), Inang Loleng had a stroke last Thursday. I was surprised when may Dad came alone last friday, when usually my Dad, Mom and Reese comes here every weekend. It was then when he broke the news. My Mom was left at Malolos to attend to Inang at the hospital. My siblings and I, decided to go home to Malolos for the weekend to visit Inang. I thought it will be quite a task for me that time, since I had two exams this week, I still need to study for my RRL, and I had to report to my adviser at Monday. I was planning to continue studying during the weekend, but of course going home is the priority. When we got to the hospital, we learned about Inang's condition. I don't understand everything well (Ate, since she is studying medicine, was helping explain things to us) but it seems the cause of the stroke was a blood clot somewhere at the head near the brain. Because of that, Inang's left half of the body was paralyzed. When we visit her, the doctor said that they are just observing her and if things go well she could be released by Tuesday. Thing are quite hard for my family, especially my mother. We also talked about the possibility of having to cut down costs, since we had to pay for the hospital, and part of the family budget had to be alotted in hiring someone to help take care of her. My Mom and Reese will probably be unable to go to us on weekends since Mom will have to take care of Inang and Reese will have to keep them company. So we went back here to Quezon City Sunday afternoon. I was quite in a panic mode that time. I was still worried about Inang, and I had to go back studying for the RRL. Luckily, I was to finish studying, only to find out classes will be suspended on Monday. -_-; So I spent the rest of Monday continuing to study some more for the RRL, and later for my CoE 115 exam which is supposedly for today. Dad called Ate later last night. He told her that it seems Inang's scheduled release for Tuesday will not push through because she seems to be unable to urinate. If things gets worse, she may need to undergo dialysis. As things turn out, classes was suspended today... but I still need to study for the report and the two exams at Friday and Saturday. Inang was still unable to be released today, and Dad said he'll just call us for more news.

Things really are hard for our family. Inang has been living with us even before I was born, and we really are close to her. We're really worried about her. To those who have the time, please include her in your prayers. :)

Sore ja, jikai wo otanoshimi~ ^w^
