He’s seated alone and is reading a thick novel that probably has minuscule writing on it, given the long periods of time that lapses before he turns each page. Jongdae is immediately drawn to the way his slim fingers are spread to hold the book open with one hand while his free fingers thumb the top corner of the page until he turns it.

Junmyeon stumbles into him, having followed Jongdae into the café with his eyes on his phone. He lets out a small grunt in surprise, before looking up and around for the source that caused his boyfriend to stop in his tracks so suddenly, “Jongdae?”

Jongdae turns to him with a secretive smile, before leading Junmyeon over to the cashier to order. “The one reading the book,” he explains as he looks at the menu board behind the counter and tries to decide on what to get.

“Who…?” Junmyeon says, even as his eyes roam the café. “Wait, him?”

He curls his hand over Jongdae’s shoulder and gestures to the correct person, eyes passing over the man’s dark blue button up and black slacks curiously.

Jongdae nods, pleased, “What do you think?”

“He’s easy on the eyes,” Junmyeon smiles softly. He points to the board, “If this were a bar, I’d buy him a drink.”

Jongdae looks at his boyfriend amusedly, “You can still by him one here?”

Junmyeon laughs, thumb stroking the base of Jongdae’s neck, “Serious?”

“Why not?” Jongdae says easily, always the more spontaneous of the two. “He’s cute, you’re cute, and I’m an avid supporter of all things endearing and attractive.”

“What if he doesn’t like the drink?” Junmyeon frowns, and Jongdae grins, knowing he’s already won.

“Yeah, but who doesn’t like getting free food?” Jongdae reasons, and Junmyeon relents, moving forward to order.

The girl who serves them has a charming smile and a personality pleasant enough to rival Junmyeon’s. She doesn’t question them when Junmyeon asks her to deliver a caramel latte to the current object of affection, complete with a cute drawing of a sheep on a napkin that Junmyeon quickly doodles along with his number.

Jongdae’s opinion of her gets even higher when she doesn’t comment on how he then asks her to deliver a green tea frappe to the same man, his own personalized napkin included. Jongdae smiles widely and inwardly commends the café for hiring such an excellent staff member.

“She deserves a promotion,” he tells Junmyeon when they’re seated, their table strategically selected to optimize their view of the man reading his book.

“She does. I’ll have to talk to her manager,” Junmyeon laughs. “I can’t believe I just bought that guy a coffee. What if he’s straight, oh my god…”

“Hey, what’s the worst that could happen?”

“Nothing,” Junmyeon smiles, fiddling with one of his buttons absently.

“Exactly,” Jongdae says, leaning back in his seat to gaze at his boyfriend. “I love you,” he says quietly, thankful to the heavens he found someone who understood him so well and was so open to everything.

“I love you too,” Junmyeon replies easily. He kisses the pads of two of his fingers and reaches across the table to press them to Jongdae’s lips, and Jongdae laughs. “Look at me, canoodling with my partner in my own store.”

“Lucky no one knows you own this place, then,” Jongdae grins, before one of the café workers approaches their table with their order.

“Ahhh, that means he’ll get his drink shortly,” Junmyeon laughs nervously once the worker has gone, setting his coffee aside in favor of picking up a menu and pretending to read it.

Jongdae snorts as he watches Junmyeon try to look casual as the girl who served them delivers his gift. His attempt at looking unaffected would be plausible if he wasn’t gripping the card so hard and frowning at the words like they offended him

“Hey, relax,” Jongdae says, even though he feels a slight frisson of anxiety zip up his own spine.

“Is the coffee too obvious?” Junmyeon asks, and Jongdae nearly laughs out loud.

“We’re giving him our numbers and you’re asking if the coffee is too obvious?”

“Why did I let you talk me into this?” Junmyeon groans. “Why couldn’t you go first?”

“Because you ordered first? Calm down, he hasn’t thrown your coffee away in disgust, it’s fine.” Jongdae’s eyes wander over to the man in question and his chest squeezes with excitement as he sees his own drink being carried over to him on a tray. “Oh look, she’s taking my coffee over now.”

Junmyeon snatches his eyes up away from the menu to look at their objective. The man in question goes to his second drink with a confused smile, before he suddenly looks at their table and flushes once he sees Jongdae and Junmyeon watching him.

“Okay…” Junmyeon says, turning back to Jongdae. “But he didn’t see the note? Was it too much?”

“Hey, I thought it was pretty cute,” Jongdae says, eyes still on the other man.

The man looks at them again, and Junmyeon snaps his head away faster than lightning, but Jongdae just smirks at him. Surely he’ll have gotten the message by now? As if to answer his question, the guy tilts his head in slight confusion, before his gaze drifts down to Jongdae and Junmyeon’s interlocked fingers.

Jongdae watches the guy’s eyes shutter in even more confusion-and slight displeasure-so he turns to his partner for the solution. “Should we go talk to him?”

Junmyeon nods quickly. “Yeah. Yeah, we should do that. Or I will. God, I will, I need to do something before I explode-this is so awkward-“

“Junnie, just go,” Jongdae squeezes his hand encouragingly, and then his boyfriend is up out of his seat and approaching the stranger determinedly.

Jongdae watches his boyfriend initiate conversation with the attractive guy and nearly laughs out loud at how flustered Junmyeon looks, even if he knows his boyfriend is speaking in his normal calm and confident voice. Junmyeon goes for a handshake, and Jongdae snorts at the formality, even as their object of affection returns the greeting amiably.

The two converse for a short while longer, Junmyeon gesturing to him at one point while his pinky is looped around the stranger’s. He frowns when the man appears to ponder over a question he asks, before shaking his head and saying something with a dazzling smile.

Whatever his boyfriend said worked, at least, Jongdae reasons, as Junmyeon leads the man over to their table with his book, drinks and napkins.

“This is Yixing,” Junmyeon introduces them, and Jongdae laughs inwardly at himself when he automatically goes for a handshake. So much for ridiculing his boyfriend when he did it before.

“Hi,” Jongdae greets him smoothly, letting his hand linger longer than necessary, and keeping his eyes trained on Yixing.

Christ, he’s even more attractive up close.

“I have to admit, I’m kind of confused,” Yixing laughs, taking a seat. “You two are together?”

Jongdae grins, “Ah, right. I saw you were confused before. Junmyeon and I-we’re boyfriends, yes, but we also date other people as a unit?”

“Okay…” Yixing says slowly, and Jongdae laughs.

“God, we’re not propositioning you, oh my god,” he says quickly, and Yixing laughs as well.

“Oh good,” he says. “I mean, I’d be flattered, since you two did buy me drinks, so yeah, I wouldn’t be surprised if you’d had an ulterior motive.”

“Actually we just bought you the drinks because we thought you were hot,” Junmyeon blurts out, and earns himself another round of laughs.

“Thank you,” Yixing smiles, and Jongdae watches his boyfriend reach out to poke his dimple gently. “People are always fascinated with my dimple, I swear,” Yixing says, voice warm with amusement.

“Well, it is an oddity,” Jongdae shrugs. “But it’s cute.”

“Are you always this generous with your compliments?” Yixing teases, and Jongdae’s gut curls in pleasure.

“Only when good-looking acquaintances are involved,” he offers slyly, and Junmyeon scoffs.

“You are such a flirt,” he accuses Jongdae.

“Yes, but you love me for it,” Jongdae retorts, and Junmyeon grasps his hand with the one not holding Yixing’s.

“I still ask myself why,” he jokes, before turning to Yixing sweetly. “Tell me about yourself.”

“What do you two want to know?” He asks, and Junmyeon shrugs.

“Whatever you’ll let us have,” he says easily, and Yixing flashes his winning smile again.

The three of them wile away the hours in the café talking over banana bread and coffee, unravelling each other’s information gently. Jongdae keeps smiling like an idiot, because Yixing keeps ticking figurative boxes on the non-existent list of Attributes of Junmyeon and Jongdae’s Boyfriend.

Yixing, like Jongdae, is a music teacher, though he teaches at the high school in the next suburb, rather than the nearby school where Jongdae is positioned. Yixing likes rabbits and sheep, which is rather endearing, and he’s born in October, aged right between Junmyeon and Jongdae.

He admits he preferred the green tea frappe to the caramel latte, but enjoyed the gesture anyway, and Jongdae says smugly, I told you the drink choice didn’t matter, to Junmyeon, who rolls his eyes, but squeezes his hand anyway.

Yixing is great.

He’s flirty, and sweet, and attractive, and most importantly, he’s interesting. He shares enough common ground with the two of them to identify him as being compatible, yet has enough Unknowns to keep them intrigued. Jongdae just wants to unravel him as much as Yixing will let him, and he hopes Junmyeon feels the same.

All too soon, they’ve managed to talk away the entire day, and they’re the only remaining people in the café. Jongdae jokes about Junmyeon getting kicked out of his own store, and his boyfriend shakes his head in exasperation. Jongdae almost sighs, not wishing for their date to be over.

He’s trying to think of what they should do on their next date-and when that will occur-when Yixing asks, "Would you guys like to come over for dinner?"

Jongdae looks at Junmyeon in surprise, but he’s already agreed in his head.

"Not to brag,” Yixing continues, “but I can cook pretty well."

“We’d love to have dinner with you,” Junmyeon says for both of them, and Yixing’s smirk grows into a full-grown beam.

“Oh god,” Yixing gasps, shirt rucked up to expose his abs and hands fisted in Jongdae’s hair tightly. “This isn’t what I meant when I invited you over for dinner.”

Jongdae pulls off and slurps his excess spit into his throat to swallow. “That’s fine, I mean, this doesn’t usually happen on the first date, I swear.”

“Oh,” Yixing says dumbly, gasping as Jongdae’s lips slide down his length again. “Oh god, I don’t mind, really-fuck-“

“You’ve got a mouth on you,” Junmyeon’s voice is light with glee, and he kisses Yixing deeply, who moans in response.

Jongdae’s telling the truth when he says this doesn’t usually happen on the first date, but hey, there is always a first for everything. In this case it involves him working between Yixing’s spread legs while Junmyeon attempts to kiss the life out of the man. How they got here, Jongdae doesn’t really know, but it does have something to do with the fact that he wanted to feel Yixing’s piano fingers in his hair, having admired the man’s hands slim hands all day.

He could have just gotten Yixing to card his fingers through Jongdae’s hair absently, but where is the fun in that?

Where is the fun in that indeed, Jongdae thinks on all fours, as Yixing drives into him from behind and uses those lovely hands of his to pull Jongdae flush against his chest and whisper dirty words in his ears. One minute he was progressively working three fingers into himself and watching Yixing attempt to pull Junmyeon’s soul out through his dick, and the next he was here, stuck between Yixing and a very hard place (aka Junmyeon’s erection stuffing his cheeks).

One particularly hard thrust has him groaning incredibly loudly, and Junmyeon gasps, oh god, I’m coming, before Jongdae’s mouth is filled with warm semen. He lets it spill over his lips as he suckles Junmyeon’s cock gently, and Yixing slows to let him gradually work Junmyeon down.

Once Junmyeon’s lying next to him, however, Yixing’s turning him over onto his back and chasing his own release. He doesn’t linger inside when he’s finished, preoccupied with swallowing Jongdae’s dick-and oh god, he’s so close-and stuffing three fingers back into him, right up against his prostate.

God.

“I’m not averse to how spectacularly that first date went,” Jongdae interrupts the silence as he stares at the ceiling, sated.

Yixing laughs lightly and his hand finds Jongdae’s on the bedspread. “I really did mean dinner,” he says, and Junmyeon rolls over onto his front to kiss Yixing softly.

“We can go make dinner now, if you want.”

“I already ate,” Jongdae jokes, and Yixing groans loudly while Junmyeon throws a pillow at him.

“Shut up,” Yixing laughs, but he sits up and leans over to peck him on the cheek, before shimmying into his underwear and exiting the bedroom. “Dinner will be ready in twenty minutes.”

Junmyeon scrambles to follow him and half-drags Jongdae off the bed in the process. “We’ll help,” he says, and Jongdae makes a noise of agreement, following his two lovers into the kitchen once he’s semi-dressed to begin cooking.
