Prompt: When Martin was a teenager, he got caught kissing another guy. His family reacted badly. Very badly. Like trauma-inducing-abuse badly.
Now in present day, he starts a relationship with Arthur. Arthur, who only just figured out that he liked guys and definitely hasn't informed the family.
Logically, Martin knows that Carolyn and Douglas are nothing like his parents/siblings. That doesn't stop him from panicking and wanting it to stay secret. Not just because he's afraid for himself (which he is) but because he's terrified Arthur will be hurt, either emotionally or physically. Once Arthur understands it isn't about him, he agrees to wait until Martin is ready. Or try anyway. It is Arthur. And Martin for that matter, spending long hours next to Douglas. So of course they do find out. And of course Martin's fears were groundless.
Basically, I want Martin/Arthur with Arthur being strong and supportive and caring, and MJN being all family-like together.

Retelling of Dicken's "A Christmas Carol"
Prompt:Christmas is almost upon us and it would be nice to get some Christmas fills.
So, how about a re-telling of "A Christmas Carol" with Carolyn? She's not above making people work during Christmas, so it's not far off that she's a bit of Scrooge when it comes to Christmas. Denying Arthur his Christmas cheer because it could potentially offend another lucretive client on Christmas Day. She manipulated Martin into working for free and I can imagine her doing something draconian against Douglas to stop his smuggling.
It be interesting to see the Ghost of Christmas past visiting her (exploring her past, how was it working in the Sweets shop? Did it make her the ruthlessly ambitious person she is now?), Christmas Present (the various adverse ways she affects the employees of MJN), and Christmas future (whatever can change her mind). And end it with a nice heartwarming scene with her MJN family after her change of heart.
You're open to use other characters, Douglas could work as well. But Carolyn seems easier to do considering she's the boss.
I'm just throwing ideas out there. You can run with it, whichever way your muse takes you. I won't be picky! :D

Retelling of Dicken's "A Christmas Carol"
Prompt:Christmas is almost upon us and it would be nice to get some Christmas fills.
So, how about a re-telling of "A Christmas Carol" with Carolyn? She's not above making people work during Christmas, so it's not far off that she's a bit of Scrooge when it comes to Christmas. Denying Arthur his Christmas cheer because it could potentially offend another lucretive client on Christmas Day. She manipulated Martin into working for free and I can imagine her doing something draconian against Douglas to stop his smuggling.
It be interesting to see the Ghost of Christmas past visiting her (exploring her past, how was it working in the Sweets shop? Did it make her the ruthlessly ambitious person she is now?), Christmas Present (the various adverse ways she affects the employees of MJN), and Christmas future (whatever can change her mind). And end it with a nice heartwarming scene with her MJN family after her change of heart.
You're open to use other characters, Douglas could work as well. But Carolyn seems easier to do considering she's the boss.

On the contrary, he always tried not to think about them too much. Until one day, someone (maybe a therapist on a online forum?) suggests that keeping a written record of his fantasies might prove helpful to familiarise with them and stop feeling ashamed. Feeling rather hopeless, he decides to give it a try - and that’s how he realises that all his fantasies have Douglas in them. As he keeps writing he realises that he’s not only been attracted to his first officer for ages (that he had suspected), that he’s also quite in love with him. They have become very close, with Douglas being almost sweet at times, but it is understood that they’re just friends.
Then, one day, Martin gets completely drunk and Douglas has to bring him home. As the captain crashes on his bed and falls asleep at once, Douglas notices the open diary on the desk. He reads it, barely shifting position (and feeling utterly aroused), then takes a long look at Martin, puts the diary down, and walks away making up his mind to do something about it at the first opportunity.
Bonus points (LOTS of them) if Douglas already fancied Martin but had never realised Martin felt that way toward him.
