Supernatural fic: Almost Normal

I thought it would be nice to finish the year by being an active, writing fandom member. I've managed to write so little this year that I was very pleased to discover another muse (or perhaps it's my angst muse that has found another outlet). Supernatural has pretties (OMG the pretties have invaded my brain) with ISSUES and lots of breeding ground ( Read more... )

Loved it! And loved the angst as well. Poor Dean, even when he's normal, he's not really normal.

I'm glad you liked it. I don't think Dean knows what normal really means.

Oh, I really liked this; yes, Dean would be a hard worker, and we already know he's good at repressing things. But now I want more backstory. ;-)

Also, happy new year!

Happy New Year to you too!

I'm working on a companion piece to this which should give you a little more of the backstory. When I get it done I'll post it on supernaturalfic again.

BTW, I really like your icon!

I just finished beta-reading the thing this morning and sent it back to you as fast as I could.

Oh well - read my suggestions anyway, since I took the time to make them. LOL!

BTW - I like the story. I'll have to get involved with the series now, based on this intriguing glimpse of it.

Interesting, clever story! I love the way Dean's idea of "normal" is all surface and appearance, because he doesn't understand what "normal" is beyond that.

Your story makes so much sense, too. Losing Sam would break Dean, the only thing that could.

And this:

It takes even longer for the warmth all along one side of his body to register, but when it does it feels familiar somehow.

That just made me cry.

Thank you!!!

Thank you for reading and commenting. I'm glad to hear this made sense - I wasn't sure if the weirdness in my head would translate to anyone else.
