Latest on my reading and watching
To cut down on the spammage, I'm putting these under cuts.
I watched the latest ep (206) of Lost last night. I'm in denial. Also can't wait to see what happens next.
I checked out the new show Invasion while in California. It's nowhere near as good as Lost, but it's got enough of "WTF is going on here?" going for it for me to want to see more. Also, Bill Fichtner is really creepy but at the same time quite hot as the sheriff. I don't think I've ever got "creepy but hot" before. ;-)
Last night, I also watched the first ep of Prison Break. It was something I'd read about, it seemed potentially interesting, and I had an opportunity to dl it, so... Want to see more of that, too. I'm thinking I'll have to wade into the bit torrent territory soon. *sigh*
And what's (perhaps) interesting is that none of this TV is actually on my TV. In fact, I turn the TV off when I start watching my shows :-).
I read two more Sharpe books recently. They're still as engaging as ever. I haven't quite managed to read them in order, but then again they weren't written in strict order, either, so maybe that's a good thing. I'd probably notice inconsistencies if I read them all in order. I'm so happy they're making another Sharpe TV thingy (mini series this time?). Also, isn't this the perfect post for premiering one of the new, shiny Sharpe icons I have courtesy of wizzicons.
I'm currently reading "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (only 6 years after it was published). I'm planning to go see the new movie soonish, after which I can read that book. I've decided to keep things in that order - it should stop me from being disappointed with the choices they've made for the movie. Not sure if I can wait for the rest of the movies to come out before reading the books, now that I'm into HP. Want to make bets on that? *g*
I have "Da Vinci Code" waiting to be read. That only came out.. I guess a couple of years ago, but since everyone else in the family (apart from my nephew for obvious reasons) has already read it, I guess I will, too.
