Something to look forward to
This post brought to you by the fact that I went to bed dead tired at 9 PM then got up at midnight (my time) so I could catch the last 2 hours of Sweet Charity. You know, priorities and all.
Anyway, I've finally got off my arse and started making serious plans for my trip to UK in May. I have a train ticket from London to Birmingham and a ticket to see the Steve Carlson / Jason Manns gig on Monday after Asylum. I need to book accommodation for Monday night, and a train ticket back to London. I keep telling myself now is not a good time for the latter because I'm not awake enough to know what I'm doing.
I've also bought a photo shoot ticket for a photo with Samatha Ferris at Asylum. I really like the fact that Rogue sell photo shoot tickets in advance, because it lessens my stress and need to queue during the actual con weekend, and because it means I don't have to carry as much cash with me. I'm assuming they've received word from Sam that she will be attending because I saw Wayne (or maybe Paul) post on the forum earlier that they might not sell photo tickets in advance this year. Returning a lot of photo shoot money after Jared canceled last year must have been a pain.
With the news of the Friday the 13th remake making the rounds in SPN fandom, I'm betting with myself on Jared's attendance this year. So far it's even money. As for the movie - will never, ever wanna see it no matter who's in it, so I kind of wish Jared wasn't doing it. If it means he won't be at Asylum, I might have to give up on the "good for him!" line.
