Back to normal, or whatever passes for normal in my life

I got home from my European Tour 2004 yesterday. I emptied my suitcase and backpack, put some of the things away (the rest are lying around all over my apartment), watched the news to find out what's going on in good ole Finland (unlike last year, we still have the same prime minister as we did when I left the country), had a minor row with a friend over the phone, had a look at my e-mails and things happening online. I got caught up on a couple of on-going fanfic stories, and then I went to bed too late as usual.

Now I'm at work, feeling sleepy and not very productive (although I've made an effort to get my private affairs up to date). My boss is feeling good, and ready to take a little breather, because our project got green-lighted for the next stage this morning. The funny thing is, she seems to have had doubts about that whereas I never had any - maybe because I wasn't in the office these past two weeks or because I'm a hopeless optimist when it comes to work issues. Anyway, I was a bit worried about coming back into a full-blown frenzy, and there's none. Still, I have to find a way motivate myself to get some work done over the next 6 weeks.

It's cold outside and the more tired I get, the colder it feels. Where's the summer? I got used to the idea of summer and warmth while I was away, dammit! I feel like going home, climbing into my wonderful, comfy bed and having a little nap. Alas, I've got to kill another hour or so before leaving or else I'll end up having a mountain of minus hours before the week is through. *sigh*

On the plus side - getting together with friends I see only seldomly is on the cards for the next two (?) weeks.

general, work
