Do Oregonians really use umbrellas?

not-new-update: hey it's been raining and it'll continue to rain some more. so what do we do? continue to play of course. actually, i'm pretty much a pansy when it comes to riding in the rain unless i really need to get somewhere and i don't mind being soaked on the bike. i don't really enjoy wet feet and cold fingers. putting up with smelly people on the bus/Max isn't all too appealing as well. bahhh.

i have been watching a few episodes of The Office season 1 recently (yes, i am slow with the TV times). i'm not sure if it's having previous experience working in strange/horrible offices, but it's actually a funny show. not merely because Steve Carell is on it, but because all that ridiculous office stuff that happens really does happen. who decided to make Diversity Day mandatory? i guess real life wasn't good enough and we need to address these issues with an open mind and positive attitude. the worst i've experienced was with a financial institution. they set up a big meeting and even had a board game. it's probably the weird office dynamic and claustrophobic setting that makes these things issues to begin with. i always felt like a hamster running around in the cubes at one particular office. only because i was trying to avoid a "team lead" and i could see his head bob up and down when he'd walk around the office.

enough office blabs, here are some pictures on zee flickr from the Battle at Barlow race. feel free to drool at all the mud, spandex and cyclocross love.
