Professional Development day for teachers, which means that I am at home and able to once again utilize technology in communicational ways. Huzzah!

Well, I have had an interesting couple of weeks. I'm trying to think of where to begin, and I think I'll begin two Saturdays ago, which was a day where I had planned to visit this esteemed site...

*cue weird, ripply music again as we travel through to the past, kind of like the first Ghost in A Christmas Carol*

It was about five o'clock on Saturday morning, and I awoke to the sounds of my parents talking rather urgently. It was kind of scary, especially when I heard the world 'hospital'. Mum came in and explained to me that she and Dad were going to emergency- Dad wasn't feeling well. She thought it might be an anxiety attack, because it had been a really crazy week, he hadn't gotten enough sleep, and tons of people at our church are seriously ill right now. So, off they went to the hospital.

I was quite freaked out, as you can imagine, but Mum called a few hour slater and said that it HAD been a panic attack, even though Dad had been worried it was his heart. It was not what you would think a panic attack would be like, though; while Dad had been in the midst of it, he wasn't running around and screaming or anything- it was just like he couldn't bear to be in his own skin, and he'd look at Mum and not hear the words she was saying, and stuff.

I'd promised a friend that I would help her clean out her late mother-in-law's house, so I was over there, scrubbing windows and trying not to be too upset. It was pretty pathetic. But Dad came home for the afternoon, and I stuck close to him a lot. He's okay now, but he doesn't seem to want to give anything up that he's been doing. But he's okay.

So, that ws the Saturday. On the Sunday Dad and I had dancing lessons, etc, so, again, I did not update.

So the next Friday was my birthday, which was much more cheerful than my last weekend had been! I got some AMAZING stuff, including a complete collector's set of Harry Potter books in a cardboard-but-very-real-looking trunk! I was ever so pleased. It was a murder mystery, so it was rather mad but very fun.

Then Saturday I went to a wedding of my aunt's sister, who I had never even met before, but it was fun and very well catered, so I was happy! I think catering is very important to weddings, personally. In this wedding the bride had even made her own cake, and it was wonderful!

So, that's been my story for the last couple of weeks. I'm going to walk my dog, now, so I shall be back and perhaps think of something I have left out later. Muchos love to both across the street and across the ocean! Funny, the places where you find friends...

a lot. i'll put them down later. huzzah!
