The garden

Did you ever hear the story about the fare maiden, who tended hourly to her beautiful garden?

She raised the flowers from tiny dry bulbs. She cared for them, read to them even sang to them on occasion. She'd go nights with very little sleep just to spend more time in the garden. Nothing was as important to her then to help her flowers grow.

One horribly stormy day she looked out of her window and saw that her favourite rose bush was struggling from the beating rain and aggressive wind. She ran outside and held the rose bush up. Tried to keep it calm. But it attacked her, it cut into her skin and caused her to bleed. No matter what she did she couldn't clam the plant. She lay in the rain staring at the black sky, rain poring down on her causing all her small cuts to sting. She felt beaten, this angered the maiden to the point that she was no longer fair, she took up a sword and cut down the rose bush. Thunder struck as She cut down all of her beautiful garden. It rained for days, weeks, months and the maiden just sat in her window looking out at the destruction she had caused.

Finally when she had given up all hopes, the rain stopped. The sun rose and she stood in her garden once more. Unconsciously she started to clean up all the dead plants around her, feeling the pain of every single beautiful thing she'd struck down. That's when she saw it. The rose bush still had life, it was small of course and would need a lot of care to bring it back to the amazing plant it was before. But it lived. It lived for her.

We help people, we help when they don't want our help. We crash, we fall. We get up and we live again. The story of my life.
