I got to work today and found lot's of notes taped to my monitor, with all the things I was to do during the day. I finished all of the stuff in the first note, and was in the middle of starting on the second, when my boss came in the office and asked me if I wanted to join him for breakfast (at noon). I quickly said YEA!, and we headed out the door. I got back to the office an hour later, and my boss went on his way to do other stuff I dont know where. At 2 p.m. I leave for "lunch" and instead take my sister to get her car insured (we aren't gonna take anymore chances since this whole family curse issue has come about). I get back to my building, and on my way up I grab something to eat and drink, so I dont starve after just eating a little plate of fruit for "breakfast". I get into the office to find my boss there (oops) and he sees me stuffing my face so I can start on the stuff I still need to finish. But I guess it's not that urgent 'cause he asks me to go along with him to check out how the design for the ad he's placing is coming along (I do ask if he's sure 'cause I still had not finished what I had) and he said yea, and very nicely waited for me to finish up what I was eating. So we were off, I held the elevator for us, and my talkie rings. It's Danny, and I hear him say: "They found your car"
I could not believe it and all I can say is: "you are kidding!", that's when my boss comes in the elevator and we are on our way down. I leave the speaker on, so my boss hears all the news with me, and Danny tells me that I need to call my dad. My boss didn't even let me ask him if I could leave work to get my car out of impound, when he was asking me if he could take me somewhere... my house? my sisters work? to the corner where I asked my dad to pick me up?... he's so nice i can't believe i wasnt gonna take that job.
Anyway, I get to my aunts to pick up the paper the CHP left there, and read the report. It was stopped at the Otay Border crossing filled up with people trying to get into the us illegaly. It was dated for today, so I guess I'm very lucky I got called so quickly and was able to get it before I was charged even more for storage.
The car is not in that bad of shape. The drivers side door needs to get bodywork done, and they cut up the stearing wheel, so that need to be replaced. Besides that, there are only other little details, but they didn't steal the stereo (weird).
I'm gonna get it sorta fixed up, just enough so I can sell it. I really don't want to drive it anymore. I think I'll always be thinking it's gonna get stolen here again.
Soo, anybody looking to buy a decent looking '99 green Plymouth Breeze? hee hee (j/k)
