Christmas Eve and of course you know where you could find me: right here on the computer :D
It thought it was gonna be something quick, just a little hello and how's the family but it ended up being a 6 hour strech. One of my uncles that lives in Mexico City had just this past sunday installed his messenger and we were able to chat for a while. At the end of that talk he asked if we were gonna be around on the 24, and I said: yes, I'll come online for a while. So it's the 24th, 4:00 o'clock and I see one of my cousins online (the ones I grew up with). One by one the figures start changing from red to green. It was weird. I have talked with a lot of people thru messenger, but not my uncles. Well, not the one's that come online.
I haven't talked to these people in YEARS and yesterday they were here. One of them spread the word and I found not one but three uncles from far away, along with 2 cousins, plus my cousin and uncle from across the border, and we were all chatting and having fun, remembering old times and here at my house my sisters and parents joining in the conversations from time to time.
So I stayed here past 10 o'clock and sorta ignored the people around me, but this sorta thing doesnt happen everyday and I don't really know when it might again. After that, the rest of the evening went slow, spent with my fathers side of the family. Just sat around, and talked, it was nice, I got to meet my only girl cousin's boyfriend (umm, she's almost 24 and this is her first one), and the guy is ok, at least he's not pretencious like my cousin :P
The only thing I regret is not eating. I was so into the chat and then trying to catch up on what I had missed while I was chatting, that I forgot to eat something until everybody left and I was just too tired to go into the kitchen and warm myslef up a plate, but I'm gonna make up for it today when I go visit my family across the border :D lots of yummy food awaits, and I know they will hide their computer so I don't go online and ignore them (I think my internet obsession started at their house).
Anyway, this has been way too long, so I wont go into the presents, but I'll try to post some pics of today later on.
Merry Christmas & Feliz Navidad!
