Cracked out DC AUs seem to be becoming a habit of mine. This time, I blame jamjar for introducing me to a website that had a bunch of early-vampire literature. I was 19 chapters into Varney the Vampyre when the thought occurred to me, 'hey, this would be a lot more interesting if it had Bart and Tim in it.'

And lo.

Oh my! This so totally rocks! The characters are simply perfect, in-character for the period as well as being so very much Tim, Kon, and Bart. The dialogue was just fabulous as well.

So much love for this. I'm glad I didn't have much internet access - it means I got to read it straight through. I can't believe it took me so long to work out that Bart was still actually a guy. I love your English Tim, and falling-in-love-Bart. Hugs for Kon - it's so sad it doesn't all work out for him, especially when they came so close. Anyway, really really enjoyed this!

Whee, thanks! Hee hee. I admit that part of the fun of AUs for me is suprising people, so your comments re Bart made me very pleased with myself. English Tim is surprisingly addictive, and as I have to agree that Kon needs hugs, there is all likliehood of there being more of this fic in future.

Yay for more of the fic! Crossdressing Victorian Bart is too adorable for words, and should, I feel, be included wherever possible now. I actually woke up this morning with something too similar to actually write in my head, with Bart, Tim, Kon and Cassie being thrown back in time and ending up on a Victorian cruise liner. Bart had to dress as a girl (obviously!) and accidentally ended up seducing Tim's great grandfather. I got a bit carried away with the idea that the corset would have to be done up so tightly to produce the illusion of a waist that Bart would keep fainting.

You should totally write that. corset-fic! It's the new sex-pollen. I think your writing style is developed enough that you'd carry it off without the stories being too similar, and having our modern titans thrown back in time adds a twist to it that I for one would like to see explored.

Actually, I'm impressed with myself too -- until I sat down to chase up the links for each part, I didn't realise how big this thing was. It's a very satisfying feeling to be able to look at it and think 'I did that.' *hugs* Thanks for your comments all the way through!

I just read all of this (and "Ikonoclast") and I wanted to tell you how much I'm enjoying your Bart/Kon/Tim fic. It's sophisticated in style, assured in execution, and the characterizations *always* fill me with glee. :D

Oh Kon. (You could replace "Kon" with "Tim" or "Bart" and you'd pretty much have what I was saying in my head as I read the story.)

A very good fic, and I kind of just want to sigh and pet them all. Except that I think my hand would get lopped off. :x
