walk on, walk on
I got the chance to watch Tuesday’s Liverpool match today. It was a good match and there are some things in particular that made me smile.
- Martin Skrtel wearing the captain armband
- The beautiful way everyone worked together for Maxi’s first goal (Skrtel’s 60 yard pass, Bellamy’s run, Maxi’s finish...)
- Brad Jones’ salute to his son Luca who lost his fight to leukemia
- All the boys showing up regardless of injuries and/or suspensions
- Pepe Reina supposedly having gone down to talk to Doni after the redcard
- The fact that Blackburn has an Olson twins (I just picture two cute little blonde girls of the detective movie era)
- Daniel Agger’s mohawk
- Martin Skrtel’s presence all over the pitch all match
In the end it was a positive result and an interesting match to watch. The anti-list includes Doni’s red, an unmarked Yakubu getting a free header and our general lack of threat on set pieces.
