so.
its been a super good weekend. i saw five red cars in a row.
(tons of points to people who can explain that.)
gilly was extra-nice and forgoed massive profit to sell me her extra iphone. it is now working (after contract issues-- whatevs).
spencer replaced my busted 30 gig harddrive in my ibook with a splendid 100 gig alternative. yay for zippy computers that hold lots of stuff. and new LJ entries.
its been hot. but i am not going to complain because i am living in a desert. i expect it to be hot and would be upset if it was july and not in the 90s every day. i will keep my car AC on low and not waste gas. i will by more skirts. i will drink more water and eat more fruit.
go figure.
spencer has decided that he's hardxcore to the maxx. he's been biking a lot and is hanging out with an emerson kid. another emerson kid that wouldn't have given me the time of day or peed on me if i was on fire. just as his brother is dating an emerson kid who never would have talked to me in a million years.
sorry; i don't like being a walking stereotype.
i take that back.
my sister and i are now fully embracing our inner WASP. i love it. she's got ralph lauren polo flip flops. i'm going to start referencing my parent's house as "the estate." its a good size and has a few acres and a fence- that's gotta count for something. they but up against a pond. if that doesn't make an estate, i don't know what does.
we just are waspy. we want to have lots of money and give away lots of money. i want to throw auctions for the new york public library. we want to have that white liberal guilt. there's no way i should even try to hide it anymore, right? i mean, we don't have Legacy anywhere (except for maybe a few minimun security state penetentaries in long island), but there's not getting around we are Connecticut.
it makes me feel cozy to know that there's a place where i belong. (2 places, maybe -- SoHo and Fairfield County. Litchfield County if i'm feeling outdoorsy.)
i'm applying for jobs in NYC. i can't stay here much longer. gotta go home. :)
