LJ is becoming useless

I've noticed that only very recent posts show up on my Friends page any more. Used to, if I got busy or my internet refused to work for a while (a constant battle), I could meander over to my Friends page and see what people had been up to. Not any more. If you didn't post it five minutes ago, it's gone. There is NOTHING on my Friends page. Nothing. Part of that is because a bunch of people I used to converse with left LJ shortly after they abandoned the SGA fandom, but still . . . no one??????

Is anyone out there . . . out there . . . out there????
