Happy Tenth Anniversary to Stargate Atlantis!!
Wow, ten years. In some ways it doesn't seem possible and in others it seems like it's been that long since I've seen a new episode. I miss my SGA!! Best show ever. Well, not necessarily the writing, although some episodes were awesome. And not in loyalty to the show's stars or fans. That sucked big time (oh, let's kill off a major character with a strong following so we can make the fans mad and maybe even run a bunch of them off). MORONS! But the idea (Atlantis, stargate, Pegasus galaxy, etc) and the chemistry between some of the characters and even some of the episodes were just addictingly (I know, not a real word) awesome!! I think I'll always be just a little obsessed with SGA.
I'm in the middle of a story I started for the anniversary, but of course did not get finished on time. I'm hoping to finish in the next week.
Then going to the last(?) Stargate Convention in Chicago next month. It's a long drive by myself but I don't know anyone to go with. I'm hoping to see some people I know, but it's not like the other two times I went where I'd arranged to meet people and room with them. Looking forward to seeing Joe F., David H., and Paul M. one last time and getting to see Jason M. for the first time. I wish Rachel L. and Tori H. were also going to be there. Kind of wish I'd gone for a gold pass instead of the silver, but it's too late now. Either way, I'm excited about going - one last treat for myself before what looks like the most horrendous school year ever begins (long story, you don't want to know).
