In the air tonight

It's hot, there are now I think 28 cases of swine flu in my state, all concentrated in one HS. I'm not really worried about it because my daughter goes to HS in the city, and we live in a different borough. Then Angelica comes home today and this is the discussion:

Angelica: "Oh we were changing at Graham today and what's-her-name (I am sooo bad at names if they are not regularly part of her conversation) was changing next to me and says that St Francis Prep (aka Swine Flu High) was a few blocks from her house. "

me: O_O

Angelica: "I told her to move away from me(complete with finger wagging from the 'hood). And she was all lolwut, and I was like really. I mean it."

I was worried this morning about freaking people out on the subway because it's been on the radio all weekend to stay home if you have a sore throat etc, blah, blah and it takes a while for my allergy meds to kick in in the mornings so I tend to board the train all sniffly, sneezy and miserable looking. LOL

Have I mentioned it's unseasonably hot? We went up to 92 degrees yesterday, mid 80's today, high 80's tomorrow then back in the high 60's (Spring like weather!) Wednesday and Thursday.
