Kitchen Floors, Internets and stuff
Hmmm quite a few things to go over so they will be under cuts for those interested.
First off this has been going through my head for the whole weekend as Angelica has to study for a state capitals test and her awesome AP History teacher gave them this song to study off of. I don't know if you've seen this but I loved watching Animaniacs with Angelica when she was little. Even Stacy is picking up the state capital stuff up coz this has either been on or is being sung by one or all of us over the weekend.
Ok so last week my mother had the kitchen floors ripped up and replaced with actual tile instead of linoleum. Our floor was done first. and 2 1/2 days later we have pretty new floor and then her kitchen floor was started. I seem to have this fixation with cleaning tile. The walls in my kitchen (my mom's too) has little bathroom looking tile up to my shoulder then a small wood border then wallpapered walls. Well the guys moved the ref, stove and one kitchen counter out of the kitchen in order to tear out the layers of linoleum and lay down the baseboard. That night even among the ten million other things to do I find myself scrubbing down those tile walls I could not usually get to because they're behind furniture/appliances. It was like a compulsion. I also find cleaning the bathroom very relaxing. Most of the house looks like a tornado hit it on any given day but anything with tile I try my best to keep spotless. There is something wrong with me isn't there? It took me 2 nights and several moppings to get the dining room floor and adjacent hallway dustfree after the whole floor upgrade thing. I swear the floor still feels dusty. eeep
My internet at home has been down since Wed or so and we just did not have the time to call tech support until late yesterday so if I have been remiss in commenting that is the reason. I have much flist and fic to catch up on. I mean I try to check stuff at work but you know I'm actually supposed to be working ... .lol
VMA'S TONIGHT!!!!! I AM EXCITED. CAN YOU TELL?
I am eagerly awaiting to see what exactly Bill will throw together, what they're arriving in ... and see them present an award. XD It would be unbelievably awesome if they win, hopefully the New Artist award. Stacy is currently napping, Angelica is finishing up homework, my hubby is doing the laundry and I need to start on the brownies soon because we are going over to Ivy's house to hang out and fangirl together over the VMA's!. Well my hubby will be hanging out with my uncle in another room most likely but still . ...
