My mom's my date!!!
So I've decided that if I want to do something with friends, I have to ask them way in advance. I want to see Sex & The City and/or What Happens in Vegas (Cameron Diaz & Ashton Kutcher). I had sent messages to a few friends asking if they want to go see Sex & The City and they are seeing it with someone else. So screw it. If I want to do something I need to ask like way more in advance.
It sucks. I don't like that I can't ask 48 hours in advance because I'll get a no. One of my friends wrote me and told me that she's seeing it on Monday. She then wrote me again saying I can join them on Monday at 7:45. The thing is, she's not working right now. She had her baby in the last 6 months and now she's a stay at home mom. Not that I don't want to go out on a weeknight after work. It's just that my job is tiring - I don't want to get off at 6 and then go see a movie until 10pm. Not going to happen. If I had more of a relaxing job, then it wouldn't be a problem. Seriously though, after being with screaming kids all day, I do not want to go out for three hours after work. No way jose. I know I'm 27 and a total lamo and I don't care. You can think I'm lame or boring and maybe I am. I've been trying to get into a work out schedule and going to the gym a few times after work and Monday is one night I want to go. If I keep doing other stuff that'll keep me from going, then I'm not going to go at all. I need to lose weight and going to the gym is going to help with that. I guess my mom will be my movie buddy and I'll go with her.
Tonight I'm babysitting at 5pm. I'm going to watch Ricky & Daisy (the only regular babysitting clients I have anymore) so Heather & Ruben can go have a date night. They want to go to dinner and watch Indiana Jones. I stopped at the store last night and picked up a box of brownie mix to make brownies with them. I hope they like that. I'm going to stop at Michaels and see if they have anything affordable and cute to do with them as a Father's Day/late Mother's Day gift. So that's what I might do. I'm worn out, I'm still sick. I really should rest in bed and take some meds to get rid of this nasty cough I have. One of my doctor appointments yesterday got canceled. I got home from my dentist appointment and the appointment with my nutritionist and there was a message on the machine. My rheumatologist was out sick and so I had to re-schedule that appointment to the end of June. It sort of annoyed me because I hate to keep requesting time off of work to go to doctor appointments. That and I had all day yesterday off to take care of appointments like this and well, half my day was kind of wasted. I could've worked half a day instead of using my vacation time.
Alright, I think I'm going to fix my nails and chill a bit around here before I go to Michaels. I hope you all have a great weekend!
