Cold cold go away never come back again...
I have a cold and it sucks. On Friday night I had a feeling that I was starting to get sick and I really felt it on Saturday morning. I have a soar throat, stuff dripping down my throat, stuffy nose, an occassional cough, and my voice has been cracking. The voice thing the way it feels, I can't help but think that I'm starting to lose my voice on top of being sick. It sucks.
I babysat on Saturday night for my two favorite kids, Ricky & Daisy. I got there at 6 and then I called Heather's (the mom) cell at 12:30am to find out when they thought they'd be home. They don't usually stay out that late so I wasn't expecting them to be out so late. They got home a little after 1am and I got $80 which is good. I got home and fell asleep between 2:30 and 3 in the morning. My mom had stayed at my aunt's house Saturday night and last night to help her out. Long story behind it and I would rather not post about it on here. It's been weird being home with just the cat.
I tried so hard to nap yesterday afternoon and I wish my body cooperated but I couldn't manage to fall asleep at all. I had to get up at 6:30 yesterday morning to give my cat her breakfast (she get's wet food in the morning and evening at the same time). I managed to fall asleep for a little but not a long time. My mom stopped home to get a few things and then went back to my aunt's. I got a few things at the grocery store and picked up a burrito for lunch. For the most part I stayed home. I had no problem sleeping last night - it was hard to wake up this morning though. I really didn't want to wake up. As much as I like my job, I wish I could call in sick today. Since I haven't been there one year yet, I don't get any paid sick days or vacation yet. And I have to take Friday off for doctor appointments. At least I won't be raising my voice to the kids that much today since I'm tired & my throat hurts.
Ok I guess I should get my shower started and get ready for work. I really hope it goes by fast today....
