wake up call.
A long time ago, I gave myself one rule.
"Only stay if they want you around."
I made that rule to prevent myself from getting my hopes up on a lost cause. I've been asking to be around, not him. He's never said he wanted that from me. Once again, I have built an entire illusion around a misconceived gesture.
But I can take a hint.
