2008 in review: part I

Dec 21, 2008 13:08

From 2004 to 2007, I did this survey at the end of every year. Some of those questions aren't very interesting to answer, though, so I'm doing something different for a 2008 year-in-review. It's longer and funner!

First the fannish goodies:

Part I: lists & picspams & a mixtape! )

picspam, year in review, books, music, movies

I think I ought to read Good Omens one day. I'll add it to my (forever growing and seemingly impossible to accomplish D:) reading list.

*glomps James McAvoy!*

Who is this Jim Sturgess that you speak of? He looks rather... good. *stares*

You'll get through your list someday. I have faith in you! :D Good Omens is wonderfully smart and funny.

Jim Sturgess is adorable! You'd like him. He was in 21 (brainy MIT students + blackjack + Las Vegas = awesome) and Across the Universe (a weird and wonderful musical of Beatles songs, taking place in the 1960s).

'Course, he's not quite as good The Mac... but then, few people are. XD

I'm pretty sure I'd like him too. He's pretty. :D I'll look out for 21 from now on! I'm sure my uncle must have a copy of it somewhere...

Hear, hear! :D

I meant to say he's not quite as good as The Mac. *facepalm*

I think you should watch this, starting at 1:48. IT'S SO DARN CUTE.

:O I assumed he was American! He is adorable! And he's Northern omg! I'M IN LOVE.

Oh, good. Our psychic bond is still firmly in place! :D

Haha, he can do quite a cute American accent, but he is indeed British! AND YAY WE HAVE ANOTHER CRUSH TO SQUEE OVER.

LOL as if we needed any more! But the more the merrier, I say. (That came out less innocent than I meant it to. XD) That film looks really cute! I wanna watch itttt :D

I quite agree! :D Hmm, let me think. The Phelps Twins, James McAvoy, our imaginary Lee Scoresby, Edward Norton AND HIS PANTS, now Jim Sturgess... :D

I think the whole movie is probably on youtube.

EDWARD NORTON'S PANTS should be a fandom in their own right. NEW CLUB TIME!

I shall have to try and watch it one day... eventually. XD

EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT. But an important question must be answered: are we talking about pants in the British or American sense?

Yay! XD

That's a good point... I was attempting to remain vague and let you assume whichever you wanted. :P My plan was foiled!
