Words cannot express a heart torn asunder.
They cannot express the lightning or the thunder.
Words cannot take away the pain
Or stop the teardrops that fall like rain.
Words cannot heal the wounds so deep
Or tell the heart what it can and cannot keep.
Words cannot express the fear in one’s mind
Nor truly express the act of being kind.
Words cannot take the feeling of dread
Nor stop the world when it flashes in red.
Words cannot mend what has become broken
Nor leave the soul that long lost token.
Words cannot convey what one leaves unspoken,
Nor show the world when one’s heart is broken.
Words cannot express the way one can feel,
But maybe someday they will learn to heal.
