What Does Your Candy Heart Say?

This weekend has been pretty good so far, if packed. I'm exhausted all the time, though. On Valentine's Day, I fell asleep on Andy less than an hour after we ate dinner.

Had my first parent complaint, but my mentor teacher handled it. I'm sure many more will come during conference week. Student teaching is a wild ride, and I'm constantly learning--but it's also intimidating and scary, and I can't wait for it to end. Vacation is what I'm dreaming about.

Friday, I hung out with Zack, Jason, and Travis after school. We sat around for a while, and then saw Ghost Rider for free down at the Rave theater downtown--free ticket, popcorn, and pop! I met Jim, whose last name I didn't catch--a nice guy. I hope we run into each other again; we had good comic conversation.

Ghost Rider was great, horrible, and hilarious. Great because Johnny Blaze was hot in both youth and age--hooray for Nicholas Cage! Horrible because of many things--dialogue, plot, some casting. Hilarious because of everything that made it horrible. Every time something caught fire or blew up, I got the giggles. The head bad guy, Satan's son, was that guy who played Christina Ricci's boyfriend/neighbor in American Beauty, and I kept expecting to see a plastic bag blowing in the wind.

After Ghost Rider, we headed back to The House and started to watch Sarah Silverman's Jesus Is Magic. I thought I'd stay for just a few minutes--Andy and I had plans to hang out. But... I fell asleep and woke up at 11:30 with Zack asking me if I was doing ok. Argh! Drove home, called and apologized to Andy, and we headed over to Caitlin's to feed her cats. They were so fantastic that we ended up staying there until around 2ish, playing a lot with cats, petting them, then watching 50 First Dates, one of my favorite movies (and one I knew Andy would like, no matter how much he protested!) ...but... I fell asleep during this movie too. I should've taken a hint from my body earlier!

Today, I slept in till noon--I woke up when Andy came over after his morning shift. We talked and hung out for a while, before he headed out for church and I ate and fell asleep again while watching the new episode of Degrassi. The new mini cracks me up! :) We just got back from shopping at Meijer and spent the past hour and a half cleaning up here at Andy's. Ahhhhh! He needed my motivation. :-) Now I'm lying down to beat cramps, and he's taking a short break. I have a feeling I'll be falling asleep soon too.

Tomorrow, I'm waking up earlier and fine-tuning things for work, and then Zack, Travis, Jason, and I are driving out to Ann Arbor at 2ish to catch the Animation Show 3. I bought paczkis for us to enjoy before starting out! I'm hoping one of them will drive for me on the way back so I can slleep.

And that'll be my weekend.

cramps, body, internship, friends, andy
