IUD
I'm trying to get ahold of my gyn to see about getting an IUD. Last year she oked it, but I'm not sure if she needs to see me again before referring me out to the other location for insertion. My gyn's in a hospital that tacks on an extra $2000+ fee for anything that's not a regular doctor visit. So she's referring me out to one of their other locations. Our local PPHs will only insert Paraguards & I don't want that one. I'd really like the Mirena because I don't need ten years of use or a slightly smaller IUD, but I do want the hormones (extra protection). The insurance lady said that she, herself, wouldn't recommend an IUD because of the whole mess from the Dalken Shields. Of course, I had to counter that & she was actually greatful for the info! She was really awesome. I like good support people. Now I just have to busy myself until the gyn calls me back.
