Got woken up at 8:30 this morning by a knock on my door. I stagger out into the hallway to find Greebo on his side and Chew standing over him with a large pair of fabric scissors.
Turns out Greebo had got himself so tangled up in the damned washing basket that Chew had to cut him out. Chew apologised for having to destroy the basket (bless!), though I'm just glad he was there and got the silly sod out. Andy's buying a plastic one.
Kitten is now fine, though I stayed in for the day to keep an eye on him. He walks, he jumps, runs, climbs etc, no problems. Checked him over first thing when he wasn't walking, no damage from what I could tell. Although his evil-kitten fight trick was somewhat hampered for the day. When he managed to headlock his brother he could only kick him in the head with one foot. He's since fixed that.
"My cat had an accident so I'm staying home to keep an eye on him" did not go over well with my boss, but I have one more shift to do on Friday and she doesn't inspire good feeling at all. She has an attitude about everything - she never asks, she accuses, demands, and blames. I'm not surprised I'm the 3rd person to leave in the last 4 weeks she's been here.
Blackadder group going very, very well, despite drop outs. My Queenie bodice is painted, there is some beading, all the belt-like pieces of mounted goldstone and beads were done this morning and sewn on this evening. We love Evo-stick.
Started painting Queenie skirt today as well. Considerably harder than the damned bodice but its going quite well. I'm having to invent some of the patterning since despite many screen-grabs its still hard to make out all the pieces, but thats going nicely too. Going to attack some more of the crown tonight. Glue, beads, gems & wire at the ready...
Blackadder himself going pretty well too. I need to do leather tights for Brian *Snigger* but the poofy trousers and jerkin are well on their way. I found the cut & sewn shirt bodies today for BA & FH's undershirts and Blackadder's regular shirt so will be slapping sleeves on the overshirt and embroidering with the snake.
Flashheart has all the basics - jerkin needs sleeves, but I need to pick up more Flashheart fabric on Saturday since I didn't realise I'd have to doubel it. Another 10cm or so would've done, as well - Rumph!
Andy looks amusing in the velvet tights and enormous (though cut down considerably from pattern!) satin trousers. Much thigh-slapping and 'Woof!' abounds. All we need is a cheap wig and a dodgy moustache...
