There’s actually quite a lot of such waffle detail to come before they get their just deserts (two chapters thereof, since they have waited so long and they are both young…) There should still be another four chapters after this one, possibly five. I just hope I can keep you smiling for that long! And I can give myself the willies remembering the not-so-long-ago days when an inbox held 3MB max, and retaining mails was almost impossible. One of my S/E stories only exists at all because I sent it in an email to S; I’d forgotten I had written it and only found it when reading/clearing very old emails.

*blushes for shame, never having sent mail promised a while ago* Truthfully, finishing TGQ and its pwp left a huge void in my life that felt very much like a bereavement - I have barely been back there since (couldn’t face coming here when I couldn’t write F/S either; thank heavens for MM, where HoC nearly always obliges!) I can get post-posting blues after a single chapter; when GAFFS is finally complete I expect the Black Hole may last for months. Pathetic, I know, but tyg.

BTW, I noticed over the weekend that you took all the HOC stuff down. I hope you're just tweaking and haven't given up on it!

It's so nice to know that you wanted to read it again - thank you! But - given up on it? Given up on it?? HoC now exceeds 50,000 words (obsessively backed up on two drives as well as what is on LJ) - and I still haven’t clearly delineated Elijah’s side of the tale.

The first part of HoC (11 chapters) has a definite shape at last, and I think it flows quite well. I’d really like to know if it works for you this way - S & I have lived it for so long, we’re probably too close to it now for the impact to be the same as on a new - relatively, in your case - reader. Not that I am intending to post any of it before GAFFS is finished at the earliest; also Clematis and maybe Captivation too (depends on muse and manip skills there, of course). (Speaking of which - I hope that you enjoy Sir Elijah…)

To begin, should you have both time and patience, at the beginning

T xxx
