Highlight of the weekend: I had not previously realized that the thing that would elevate Softly, Good Tummas from a great dance to a truly awesome one would be the addition of a bass drum to the instrumentation. Played by Noah VanNorstrand. (Initial thought: "Huh, the floor is being really boomy." Slightly later: "Oh, that's not the floor. Awesome.") There was an occasional gong, too. I really, really hope someone there got even a partial recording of that, because I don't know that it's likely to happen again, seeing as the percussion instruments just happened to be on stage at the music camp that Youth Dance Weekend was using.
Also, on Sunday I managed to travel through three states without putting on a pair of pants.
PSA: CVS's "sparkling water" is actually diet soda. Excessively sweet diet soda at that. Though it can still be made drinkable with the addition of some lime juice.
There are currently four computers and six input devices sitting on or around my desk, though two of the computers are sleeping. Currently trying to configure one of the awake ones to go to sleep and wake remotely on a signal from the other.
